July was a great month! You just can’t beat a month that starts off with Craft Camp with your favorite teenager and a weekend of celebrating America’s big birthday. I celebrated the month by quilting a lot of quilts for our veterans.
I finished 2 more yesterday to include in the July tally.
The one on the left was made by Peg. This is one of the many quilts that we are getting from the 2025 9-patch block exchange. Some are made into disappearing 9-patch blocks and some are made more traditional, like Peg’s. The red center squares tie all the blocks together.
The one on the right is a Chandelier quilt made by Gwendolyn. That’s two of those just this month.
Here are all of the other veterans quilts that I quilted this month. These bring my YTD total to 29 plus 6 more that I made.
I even made one veterans quilt myself start to finish.
That’s 12 veterans quilts total for the month. I have 6 more to quilt before the next club meeting on the 11th. No problem!
The other big project this month was painting 4 rooms and 2 hallways with Chris. That was a major accomplishment. I only have 2 rooms in the tiny guest house to do when we get back from vacation and then I can get my old and ugly carpet replaced.
In the few minutes that I sat down I finished a wheelchair blanket and made some potholders. I also cut out 2 big quilt kits to take on vacation to work on.

- Start a Virginia Tech themed baby blanket, also on vacation
- Hike, kayak and relax a lot on vacation
