Yesterday I  took Mom to her eye doctor appointment in Hopewell. We celebrated with a trip to Walmart and I got her home in time to make it to her Mahjong meet up.

After I got home I made some potato carrot soup and eventually made my way to the basement to finish quilting these 2 veterans quilts.

I don’t know who made this first one but it’s a great use of scraps. I think I’ve had a couple in this pattern come through.

This next one was made by Ellen.

This is the one that needed the repair.  She was happy for me to fix it. She made this with one wrist in a cast!

I actually had trouble finding the fix after it was quilted.

I have 2 more that I want to get quilted by our meeting Tuesday. That’s one of many things that I need to work on this weekend.  I need to get back to painting the guest house, blow more leaves, put the binding on Monty and start the baby quilt.

That should keep me busy!
