Yesterday was much better

Thank goodness that round 2 of this cold thing isn’t lasting the full 10 days of the first round. I felt much better yesterday although I did still get in a nap. Napping is very unusual for me but yesterday it was necessary.

I had planned to start quilting the two veterans quilts that I loaded a couple of days ago, Then I remembered that I have an acupuncture appointment this morning. The office is just down the street from the thrift store. I’ve been stacking up donation items ever since we painted the house in September. It seemed like a good idea to focus on getting all that stuff together instead of quilting.

The car is full and ready for delivery this morning. A good thrift store drop off always feels good.

But 25 trips up and down stairs wore me out and that led to the long afternoon nap. By the time I woke, an Amazon delivery had been made.

After getting the big photo project last week I decided to buy another frame for my sewing room to load up all of the photos of things I’ve made. I spent the rest of the day until about 10 last night getting all of the digital photos uploaded.

The sewing room frame stores locally, not in the cloud and it’s a much lest expensive frame than the Aura but it will work great for my needs. I connected the frame to my laptop with USB and proceeded to search through hundreds of file folders and loaded up almost 900 images!

I’ve made a lot of stuff. There’s over 200 of just postcards, close to 100 placemats and so many quilts that I’ve forgotten some. Then there’s glass, notecards, ornaments, tie dye, clothing, embroidery and lots of other things. It was fun to look back and I think I’ll enjoy seeing them on the frame when I’m in the sewing room.

I can say that my laptop file organization leaves much to be desired. I can also connect easily to the frame from my phone which will make keeping it up to date easier going forward.

I still have some paper photos that I need to upload but it’s not a lot. I have captured most of what I’ve made since about 2005 and that’s good enough.

Today I’ve got to get outside and blow leaves for an hour or so but then I want to do some quilting.
