Farewell Wilton

We had a wonderful and wonderfully peaceful week here in Wilton. It could not have been more relaxing. The lake even gave us a beautiful sunset for our last night. Today we head to Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park.

Yesterday we walked downtown again, did some kayaking and had a lobster dinner before we had to start packing up. Today we will stop in Camden and maybe Belfast before heading to MDI.

I also got in some sewing time and finished the last set of fish.

Here are all of them together where you can see the gradient change in the background color.

I have enough fish for a large quilt, a baby quilt and some placemats.  I may get around to putting the sashing on over the next 3 weeks but I have another project to work on first.

I’ll leave you with this cute loon sculpture that we passed downtown today.

That hat on the loon made me laugh.

Now I can see the gradient in the fishes – this is going to be an amazing quilt. Safe travels to your next destination.
