Yesterday I was back to quilting veterans quilts. These are numbers 7 and 8 for this stretch. One was even one of mine and I even got the binding done.

I made this quilt to use up some chisel blocks that I had cut with my GO cutter. The background is leftover bits from veterans quilt backs so this one was essentially free!
I don’t know who made this next quilt but I think the pattern is from the popular designer who does 3 yard quilts. I think it’s a very soothing quilt.

Both are quilted with the Macrame pantograph.

I even emptied a cone of thread on this one.
Next I moved on hemming my new hiking pants.

Not a fun sewing project but I’m 5′ 1″ so everything gets hemmed. I didn’t get finished because I had to leave for a concert.

My college roommate and I took our Mom’s to the Herb Alpert and the TiJuana Brass concert. I honestly didn’t have high expectations. Herb is 91, afterall! I was pleasantly surprised. He’s amazingly energetic and still plays at a high level. It was a great concert. My cousin joined us and she summed it up when she said “we just listened to the soundtrack of our childhood”. The Moms really loved it. It was a fun evening.
Today I’m back to veterans quilts!
