A good weekend

It’s way to hot and humid to be outside so I stayed in and worked a little on all of my projects.

I got 2 more veterans quilts loaded and have quilted 1. I should get the other one done today.

I made progress on the next wheelchair blanket while watching the last of the World Cup games. I could probably get more interested in soccer of the scoring was more like the Saturday game. The Sunday game bored me. Good thing for crochet!

But I spent the most time doing some fabric dyeing. Most of it was quilt backs and there was so much that I has to split it between 2 days. I don’t have the capacity to soak all the fabric I dyed at one time. I dyed a green back, in the photo, for the Monty Scraps quilt and lots of blue backs for veterans quilts. I also dyed about 10 yards of a gradient and coordinating solids for the fish quilt I want to cut out and take to Maine.

It was very nice to be dyeing again.

This week I have 2 classes of training to work the voting polls on August 4. We have a Senate primary. I have training Tuesday and Thursday. Mom and I have lunch with my cousin Wednesday and I’m meeting up with another friend Thursday. In between I hope to get several more veterans quilts quilted and to start cutting out the fish quilt kit.

I must admit I have not watched one minute of those games! I’m just not into sports. Good to get other things done while the games are on.

Nice progress over the weekend! Those blues and greens in the dying bin are very pretty colors.

I must admit there is no interest in soccer in our household (the RC likes to know the final score but that’s it). We do watch baseball (the Blue Jays who are in the pooper this year) and he sometimes will watch some of the golf.

Love seeing those wonderful blues in the dye bins!

Hot and humid here too. When they say a cold front came through and it is in the high 80s, it has me shaking my head. I think we are headed for a few days of 70s this week which will feel so great.
