A little sewing time.

A little sewing time.

The weather here has been great so we’ve spent as much time outside as possible. That means that I haven’t done much sewing.  But I did make a little progress yesterday.

I got half of the HSTs opened and I got the background pieces for the bear blocks. I found a muffin tray in the kitchen to use as an organizer.

This condo was not designed with the sewing, or reader, for that matter,  in mind. The lighting isn’t great but I’m making do. There is a reasonably bright ceiling light in the second bedroom (sewing nook) so I’ll be able to sew while it’s raining the next 2 days

Here are a few photos from our walk yesterday.

Today I’m heading to the art museum with some friends and then to check out a local yarn shop.

Enjoy the weather and the flora and fauna! The sewing can wait! A yarn shop? That sounds dangerous! LOL! Patty

too bad about the lighting but I find that so normal at rentals also not usually a really comfy space for reading. A couple years ago when we went to New Mexico and Utah the couches were awful but the chairs ok but poor lighting and glad I brought an extra one with me but had to put a dining chair next to the area to put the light on

Be happy you are there in the warmth, the east coast is getting an arctic blast this weekend with snow predicted, along with freezing rain for us that might cause some power problems. Enjoy the games on Sunday!

Since we’re facing down an extreme polar vortex here over the next few days, I will be spending some time envying you.

Enjoy the great weather there for us – we are facing a snowmageddon and bitter cold starting tomorrow!
