Two veterans quilt tops

Even though our meeting room was freezing, I stayed at the quilt club sew-in long enough to finish 2 quilt tops.

They are the same except for the background and they sew up so quickly. I had the strips per-cut. Once strip pairs were sewn together (one background with one color), I only had to cut the strips into 4.5″ blocks.

Then I came home and started packing for the beach. We leave at about noon today and will be back Monday. We’ll also be visiting family while we are away but the first stop is to visit a friend who broke a vertebrae 3 weeks ago. She’s doing well but is bored out of her mind.

It looks like we will have good beach weather for Saturday but there should still be plenty of sewing time.

I did get out to check on the baby Bluebirds yesterday.  Two of the eggs didn’t hatch but we have 3 that look healthy.

The next post will have an ocean photo.

The quilt tops look great. Easy patterns are perfect for charity quilts.

Enjoy your trip to the beach.
