    Two projects

It was a pretty good weekend around here. My big allergic reaction seems to have finally passed (after 2 weeks) so I was comfortable enough to get back to my projects.  I admit that I did waste some time watching the World Cup with Chris. I’ve never been much of…

    Blocks done

My allergic reaction slowed me down a bit the last 2 days but I’m much better today. I’ll get to the longarm today. I did accomplish the rest of the Monty Scraps blocks. I originally thought I’d make 2 veterans quilts but now I’m not sure. Maybe I should make…

    Almost ready to quilt

I actually got Eclipse loaded and basted last night and I tried to ignore that it wasn’t pressed well. By the time that I got to the end and saw that the quilt wasn’t straight, I knew I needed to start over. I ripped out the basting (easy) and pressed…

    Time to start quilting Eclipse

We had quilt club last night and I only picked up 2 veterans quilt tops. Each needs a mate for quilting.  That means I can quilt something else, and that else is Eclipse! Don’t worry about the odd color backing. There’s a good explanation. The only other thing I did…

    A little cutting

Yesterday I actually did a lot of cutting but only a little fabric cutting. I got out my mini chain saw to do some clearing along the edge of the road. I used up 2 batteries and still have more to do on another day. Last summer the county ran…

    More veterans quilts

This weekend I got the two veterans quilts quilted. These are the last until the meeting tomorrow night. I’m sure to pick up more then. This one was made by my Mom from one of the kits that I cut earlier this year. Tomorrow I’m posting instructions for this quilt…

    A start

Yesterday we had a meeting in the afternoon and we had our Airbnb family over for a cookout. This family has visited with us every year, except 2020, since 2011 while the attend the homeschooling convention. They have become my extended family.  Two were born since we met, one took…

Now that Trailside is done, I’m planning some new projects. I have 2 more veterans quilts to quilt before Tuesday. They are loaded and quilting has started. That reminds me that I should dye some more blue quilt backs next week. In the sewing room I have a lot of…

    Trailside Quilt

Our guests will arrive tonight and I got Trailside done for their bed yesterday. A deadline is a very good thing for me. This quilt is made from a vast amount of leftover fabrics from the Monty quilt. Monty is yet to be quilted. The deadline for that one is…

Hello,
