Continue reading →: I’m liking it!I’m also loving the new machine. I didn’t realize how much I was avoiding sewing with the old machine. Even with yesterday being a visiting and errand day, I squeezed in some sewing time. I finished getting the crumb blocks bordered and started the rows. In other good news, a…

Continue reading →: Bordering blocksYesterday was mostly spent blowing leaves, making bread and setting up a new TV. I finally got to the sewing room in the afternoon and started adding borders to the 48 crumb blocks. Two sides are done. Don’t judge just yet! I think they will look much better when set…

Continue reading →: Why did I wait so long?Yesterday I had some time to cut out the Eclipse Scraps quilt. If you look at the dark blue you will see that I decided on version 1, the on point one. I’m motivated to get this put together quickly so I can get the cutting table cleared and start…

Continue reading →: Farewell old friend, welcome new loveThis is the Juki TL98E, I believe it’s the first of the Juki TL series. I was designed with a wider open area to accommodate quilting. Continue reading →: October Accomplishments and November Goals
This doesn’t count as much of an accomplishment but, my last finish for October was getting the binding on this quilt that Sharon made and I quilted. I think we have 10 quilts already stashed for our next delivery to the VA in Fredericksburg. Hopefully, we will deliver one more…
Hello,
I’m Vicki
I’m Vicki Welsh and I’ve been making things as long as I can remember. I used to be a garment maker but transitioned to quilts about 20 years ago. Currently I’m into fabric dyeing, quilting, Zentangle, fabric postcards, fused glass and mosaic. I document my adventures here.
