We had a beautiful day yesterday.  Chris and Win left very early for a fishing trip, we’ll before the rest of us were up.

Ian and I mustered around 8 for a 2 and a half hour kayaking trip to the end of the lake and back.

We were the only people on the lake for most of it. We were greeted by some loons landing on the lake near us. It was beautiful and I was pretty wiped out when we returned.  I quickly got out one of the floating chairs and recovered in the lake.

In the afternoon I set up the sewing machine ready to start sewing tomorrow.  Then I worked on the Virginia Tech baby blanket for a while.

Laura spent the morning on a run and then cut out a baby quilt using Mary’s Quick Strippie pattern.

Today we are planning a leisurely hike this morning and then mostly relaxing the rest of the day. Here’s the moon over the lake from last night.
