Will this shower remodel ever end? I’m not sure.

Aside from the shower doors that are yet to be ordered, for several valid reasons, I’m promised everything else will wrap up today.

This project turned into a really complex shower remodel. It was already a little difficult because of the added job of removing water and electrical sources for the steam generator. Then they removed the enclosed shower unit and discovered the attic support beam that is right above the shower. When the original remodel was done, the shower was extended into the bedroom which required going through a load bearing wall, hence the header beam. That means that the shower ceiling is much lower than the bathroom ceiling. It’s fine, just not what was planned. Additionally, my old polished brass fixtures are no longer stylish and that’s caused the issue with the doors.

Every problem has been cosmetic but, some could have been avoided with better planning. In the end, I can’t complain too much because it was nearly impossible to find some one willing to do this small job. So I’m grateful they took the job but will be more grateful when it’s finally done.

In between all of the distractions I managed to get to the 75% mark on the ditch quilting on Eclipse.

Then I finished cutting everything for the Flourish quilt. One Maine quilt kit is done.

I even found a solid green that I could cut for the binding. I think I may even have a recipient for the quilt.

In nature news, the Wrens have left the propane tank. I’m taking that as good news.

The fawn, on the other hand, is gone. I saw the doe in the area this morning and the fawn was nowhere to be seen. I’m not hopeful.  Fawns do have a high mortality rate around here and thisone seemed to have a lot of trouble walking.

The cycle of nature continues.

Now I’m going to cycle myself into the sewing room and see what I can get up to.
