Plan B is looking pretty good.

Yesterday we spent most of the morning with the contractor answering questions and figuring out things like which valves shut off which faucets. It’s not as simple as it should be due to a previous remodel. But things are going well. The old shower is gone.

The reason we are doing this is because those shower doors were about to fall apart and the 28 year old steam generator no longer works. Nothing lasts forever but we got our money’s worth out of this.

Today the installation starts.

I did get in a little sewing time but I stayed close to the action by working on The Monty Scraps quilt. I said yesterday that I didn’t have enough of the green fabric for the sashing. But I did have enough of the gradient.  I decided to do something I’ve never done before and use the gradient randomly as sashing.

It took a couple of hours of pondering to get here but I love it!

I decided that I wanted cornerstones and tested green  and brown. I called Chris for a consultation and he recommended green. I agree.

It will also have a narrow brown border and a wide “normal” gradient border. I will find someone who loves the outdoors to give this one too.

Today I’ll attempt to get the center together.
