More veterans quilts and what’s next

I finished the last two veterans quilts that I  had. One of them is this one that I made and I’ll have a full photo when the binding is done. The other one was made by my Mom.

I think my Mom should write a book with all of her creative designs she’s done with 2.5″ squares.

Peg picked up her quilt and dropped off 2 more tops. I’ll pick up 2 more from Mom today. But I’m going to take a break and quilt one of my quilts.

This is a sofa sized quilt. The ice dyed backing would look great on it but this is likely to be a donation quilt. I may save the ice dyed one for something else and, instead, use the blue one.

Over the next few days I’ll get the rest of Cora’s tshirts done and also start sewing the Monty scraps quilt together.

I’m Vicki

I’m Vicki Welsh and I’ve been making things as long as I can remember. I used to be a garment maker but transitioned to quilts about 20 years ago. Currently I’m into fabric dyeing, quilting, Zentangle, fabric postcards, fused glass and mosaic. I document my adventures here.
