A finished scarf!

It was another beautiful day in Tucson. We spent most of it outside. Chris took a long walk while I exercised. Then we spent about 45 minutes by the pool. In the late afternoon I put on my hiking boots and we tested my ankle on a short hike with plenty of rocks to climb over. It went very well! I selected ankle boots when I started hiking over 10 years ago because I  knew my ankles were suspect. It’s very helpful to have them now. We’ll hike again tomorrow.

We watched the CFP last night and that gave me time to finish this scarf!

The scarf is 12″ wide and 60″ long. The yarn is Loops and Threads Facets ( similar to Lion Brand Landscapes) and I used all of 2 skeins, about 550 yards.

The stitch is a V stitches (DC, CH, DC) in the chain space of the previous row. There’s a DC at the beginning and end of each row. Using a J hook made this scarf very soft and squishy.

I really love the colorway of the yarn. My niece gave me the yarn last summer and I can’t wait to show her what I did with it.

After the hike and before the game, I  had about an hour to start sewing the half square triangles for my new quilt project.  Chris will be golfing today so I expect to have some good sewing time.

are you staying at a condo type place that you have access to a pool and a work out room – you said working out with weights the other day? Glad the hiking went ok
