2 veterans quilt tops and a new project

When I wasn’t leaf blowing, I was making 2 veterans quilt tops.  We have quilt club Tuesday and I volunteered to do a program on my 2 fastest veterans quilts. These are the quilts.  I still have some work to do for the program but the tops are done.

While sewing these I was getting more and more frustrated with my 25 year old Juki. It’s worn out. I believe it will be replaced very soon.

I also received 2 bags of clothing Saturday.  I will be making a special memory quilt. I haven’t decided if I’ll share progress. There’s no deadline but I’m pretty motivated to start it soon.

    The veteran quilts are wonderful!

I would be interested to at least see the memory quilt when it is done. Could be a project where a lot of thinking is involved.

the two quilts look easy to do I’m sure they will have fun making them. I hope the clothing is all the same type of fabric so it will be easier to make then if if is different types of fabric

If I replaced my Juki, I would want another one just like it.
Those quilt tops are very effective and I can see how they would be fast to make.

It is hard to let go of a workhorse machine that has seen you through years of faithful service. But, tell it thank you, Marie Kondo style, and get one that is fresh, new and will not give you more frustration than sewing.

Those look like great patterns to be made in any fabrics for any occasion.

I know how hard it is to have to replace a beloved machine but sometimes it’s just time.
