Kim’s Quilt

I finished quilting Kim’s Christmas quilt yesterday. This was a quilt kit and she’s been working on it off and on for a couple of years. When we have taken our beach retreats with Mom, this is the project that she would bring to work on. To motivate her to finish it, I promised to quilt it.

Kim likes her quilts quilted traditionally so it was done with white thread and the Happy Times pantograph. It kind of has a look of wind swirls. It’s just enough quilting to keep it soft and cuddly.

She’s offered me some of the leftover fabrics for one of my Christmas card designs. Before I start them, I have to make two very quick veterans quilt tops in preparation for a quilt club program Tuesday. By Sunday, I hope to be working on Christmas cards.

I’m still blowing leaves almost every day but we are getting near the end of leaf season. Halleluiah!

that is a cute pattern and the quilting suits it just fine I think – it doesn’t compete with the design

What a cute Christmas quilt and what a lovely friend to offer quilting it as a motivator. I love the row of flat packages.

I am sure that Kim really appreciates that you quilted it for her. That was a very kind thing to do. The quilt looks great.

I like that she used the polka dot background instead of a solid.
