This doesn’t count as much of an accomplishment but, my last finish for October was getting the binding on this quilt that Sharon made and I quilted. I think we have 10 quilts already stashed for our next delivery to the VA in Fredericksburg. Hopefully, we will deliver one more time before the end of the year.

Speaking of the end of the year, this year has been really flying by. I can’t believe it’s November already. I have got yo get started on Christmas cards this week!

My goals for October were:
– finish 2 of my own veterans quilts – done
– finish the houses quilt – done
– quilt any veterans quilts available – I only have 1 waiting
– do a project with the Eclipse scrap – started
– start making Christmas cards – nothing
– finish the crochet shawl and blanket, start 3 new projects – finished the shawl, still working on 2 blankets

Here’s a summary of finishes:

Painted Ladies, 60 x 72

My biggest finish for November was the Painted Ladies quilt. I also finished 2 veterans quilts and a donation shawl. I don’t know that I’ll have any veterans quilts made in November but I might have 2 donation crochet blankets finished.

I was very happy to get 8 veterans quilts quilted. So far I only have 1 for November but I’m sure to receive more tops at the November meeting.

My favorite project of November was the shirts for my Grand Niece, Cora. I also did a bandana for her dog. I am told that they fit and that she’s wearing them to daycare.

For November my goals are:
– quilt a Christmas quilt for my friend, Kim
– repair a vintage quilt for my cousin’s son
– plan and dyed fabric for the CSQ 2027 raffle quilt
– plan what to make with the Eclipse leftovers
– make Christmas cards

Stretch goal: start quilting Eclipse

I bet the daycare workers are having fun seeing all of Cora’s new shirts.

Wouldn’t it be fun to live in a neighborhood with houses painted like your quilt?

Your quilting added the perfect finishing touch to your fun and colorful Painted Ladies quilt. What a lucky grand niece to have such a fun and talented great aunt 🙂

I’d say you did really well on your goals this month especially when you consider that you were taking care of your Mom for part of it.
