Half social, half quilting

Things are slowly returning to some sort of normal. Mom continues to heal from her surgery and went back home Monday. I’ll see her tomorrow to run errands.

Yesterday, I started my day by twisting my ankle exercising. What a way to show my age! It was very minor and is better today. After that, I got in another session of leaf blowing before my friend, Kim, visited.

She brought me her Christmas quilt to quilt and we had a nice time catching up.

I’ll get her quilt loaded as soon as I finish these veterans’ quilts.  I got the first one done yesterday.

Today I don’t have to go anywhere. I plan to make some bread and get the veterans’ quilts done.

I tell you as we age we have to be so careful – I have to watch when I kneel in the garden to make sure my toes don’t bend under or they easily fracture!! I was told that the last two I had was because of that!!

They never told us approaching the ‘golden years’ would include so many muscle strains and falls. You are still young enough to heal fast. Older folks like me, it takes longer.

It is surprising how it is so much easier to injure ourselves as we age. I have had to slow down on my exercise routine because I have somehow managed to get my lower spinal region twisted.
I am glad your ankle is better today.

ahhh – a day not having to go anywhere is my idea of bliss. Glad your ankle twist wasn’t serious.
