Well, that’s a bummer.

When I did my first full fuse at high temperature, I thought the kiln was working well. I did vaguely wonder why the corners were so rounded, but didn’t think much about it. I did check the kiln regularly while it was running but missed catching the high temperature.
Ignorance really is bliss.

Then, I ran a slump cycle to shape the pieces into dishes. The temperature is supposed to be much lower for slumping. Instead, it totally melted the glass into the bottom of the molds. The bottom layer of glass has melted around the top.
Now, I need to find an electronics person who might be able to fix the controller. A new one is over $1000.
For now, I’ll go back to working on the tshirts.
