A day where not much happened

Mom is recovering nicely from her eye surgery. I can’t believe the schedule of eye drops that she has. It seems like her phone alarm goes off every 2 hours. It’s not quite that often, but it’s close.

We ran some errands before lunch. After that, I was going to work on the tiny t-shirts. I needed some different colors of vinyl. Amazon solved that problem, and I ordered tons more than I needed. Of course, that’s not new news. I’ll get back on the shirts on Sunday.

Meanwhile,  I’ve been sewing in short bits and made 8 more crumb blocks.

In the evening, I met some friends for drinks. We hadn’t all gotten together in months. It was great to catch up. After dinner with Chris and Mom, I relaxed with some football and crochet.

Today I hope to get 2 veterans quilts loaded.

All of those drops scare me away from cataract surgery. I did have to do them after the radiation surgery for my eye tumor in 2012 so I guess I would be able to do it. The crumb blocks look like fun.

When I had my cataract surgery, I had lots of drops before and after. It was a challenge to do them all. However, in my opinion it was worth it. Those drops prevent infection after eye surgery. (any kind of eye surgery has lots of risk of infection.) Those crumb blocks look like fun. Do you have a “plan” for them?

Oh the dreaded drops schedule! It’s far worse than the surgery itself. When I had my eyes done there was two weeks between surgeries and I was juggling the final days of drops for the first eye AND the new schedule for the second. Seemed like I was forever putting drops in my eyes.
