It’s crochet season!

It’s crochet season!

Tge football season started last night with an uninspiring win by my Eagles, but more importantly, that means that it’s crochet season. I can’t sit and watch TV without something to do.

I like to have multiple projects going with different hook sizes. It keeps boredom at bay and keeps my hands from getting fatigued.

Here are the projects that are my starting lineup:

This will be a big blanket that will likely last me all season. It’s got a very autumnal, masculine vibe. I know I’m going to like this one. It uses a K hook.

This is the next wheelchair shawl in sparkle yarn. These shawls come together really fast. It uses a J hook.

The newest project will be scarves from some velvet yarn. I bought this yarn a few years ago for a specific project and hated working with it. I couldn’t find my stitches as I was going, and the project was a mess. The yarn has been sitting in the back of the closet until this week.

From The Heart put out a call for 500 scarves. With a L hook and the linen stitch, I can get 2 or 3 scarves made quickly and purge this yarn from my life.

Today, I’m back to the Eclipse border. It will be too hot to be outside.

Funny, my first thought at seeing that velvet yarn was “oooh, that yarn will crawl and slip.”

500 ? That is quite a call for scarves.

I thought it was a great game, nice and competitive! Actually more so than I expected from the Cowboys. Stupid to have that Eagle thrown out for spitting. What on earth was he thinking?

Looks like you have fun projects ahead of you. Seeing them has reminded me that I never did finish the shrug I started last year. Hmmm….wonder if I can remember the pattern now or will I have to start again.
