Eclipse border

Eclipse border

I made some progress on the Eclipse border. There are 8 different foundations, 4 of each. I’ve finished 3 of them. The remaining 5 are all smaller blocks.

While I was working on it, I realized that my pins are a mess. Most are bent or blunt. I checked them as I pulled them and discarded the bad one in my sharps container.

Now, I have all sharp pins for a while.

Today will be mostly a crochet day. The Eagles are playing tonight and I plan to start a new scarf for donation. From The Heart has put out a call for hundreds of scarves.

I think I need to do a pin purge too…..but my sharps container isn’t nearly as cute as yours.

I’ve kept a sharps tin next to my sewing machine for the past few weeks to do the same thing. I have so many dull ones!

Even the border blocks are pretty. Not much longer and we will see some assembly.

You’ve reminded me that I need to go through my needles and get rid of some that are either dull or bent. Pins I seem to get rid of as I go but not needles.
