Another donation shawl

I finished this in the car ride home, but I didn’t get the ends woven in and the button sewn until yesterday. This is the shawl that I make most often for donation. The pattern is here. The yarn is Red Heart Roll With It Sparkle. The sparkle is a bit much, but it was a good sale! This shawl is one full ball.

Since it’s football season (aka crochet season), I started another. I have one more ball in the blue colorway and 3 in a tan, so I’ll get 5 shawls for donation eventually.

I didn’t get any sewing done yesterday.  The weather was beautiful and I wanted to be outside. I decided that washing the cars seemed a fine way to spend my birthday! Chris’ was absolutely filthy inside and out after our trip. Our rental house was on a dirt road.

Yes, I do enjoy washing the cars. I don’t do it often because I have a pretty high tolerance for dirt. I also enjoy doing laundry. I hate vacuuming and dusting

He surprised me with my favorite food for dinner, and I have some crabmeat leftover for lunch!

Today, after my morning exercise, I  will spend the day working on the Eclipse quilt. I’m listening to a really good book that will keep me focused

Ahh…the Atlantic Blue Crab! I love them. My late father lived on a tidal river in MD and had a crab pot that he would thow in the water and then haul it up with crabs. We had some delightful crab feasts! I hate to think of them being boiled alive but they sure do taste good. I can’t remember when the season is – it seems like I;m never there at the right time anymore.

I too seem to have a hight tolerance for dirt and also hate to dust and vacuum – you aren’t alone there!

The shawl will be perfect for some older lady who loves a bit of bling.

I am glad you had a good birthday. I had to laugh at our similarities. I enjoy laundry (and hand washing dishes) but I despise dusting and dislike vacuuming.

    Th crab looks delicious.

Happy Birthday! Everyone should do something they enjoy on their birthday.

Lots of people love the sparkle. It might be the first one chosen if they give people a choice.

I have a high tolerance for dirt too since I was raised on a farm, and that is a lot different than living in town. I have never gotten the cleaning bug after moving to a town so it is ‘clean before company gets here’ most of the time.
