Hot, hot, hot

Hot, hot, hot

Another scorcher of a say yesterday with a high of 90. I started the day with a long kaya ride around the lake and then commenced to sewing.

I made good progress on the second set of little stars and will get these blocks finished today.

We will be leaving tomorrow, so I’ve started a little cleanup by organizing the scraps. I think these will make some nice placemats.

I even made a little more progress on the wheelchair blanket. The orange stitch marker is where I left off last time.

We love having dinner on the screened porch watching the activities on the lake. Last night was even better because we had lobster for dinner again.

Today, I’ll get in some morning exercise,  work on my star blocks, and start packing up to leave for Acadia tomorrow.

Mmmm Lobster – one of my favorites.
You have made a lot of progress with your quilt and your blanket. And I know that those scraps will make for a great set of placemats.

Just seems like a heavenly vacation. Eagles looked pretty good in pre-season last weekend.

I think you’re going to be very sorry to leave this place. Although we live on a river, we can’t get to it because some know-it-all (hah) decided that it would be a wise move to plant some sort of ugly bushes alongside it in the misguided opinion that they would deter the Canada geese from coming in to the park. The bushes have grown into an eyesore and guess what – the geese simply fly over them.
