Sewing, crochet, and kayaking

I don’t think our vacation could be more perfect. The weather has been amazing. Today it hit about 80, and it was bright and sunny. We also got a break from the Canadian wildfire smoke.

I started the day working on the Eclipse quilt B1 blocks. I think I have 5 more pieces to add before I can move on to the B2 blocks.

I’ll have more time today because Chris will be gone all day on a charter fishing trip.

In the afternoon, we got out the floatie chairs for about an hour and then took the kayaks out. It was flat calm all day on the lake, and we basically had the lake to ourselves. There might have been 2 other boats with us. It was lovely.

I finished the day with some crochet.  The lighting in the house isn’t terribly bright, so I crochet in the evening. In this pattern, the stitches all go in chain 2 spaces, so it’s really easy to find where to insert the hook. This is going to come together quickly.

Today, I’m planning a long walk. Lots of sewing and maybe a floating nap.

It does sound perfect for you. I know you will enjoy your sewing time, your walk and just having the place to yourself. I am sure Chris will enjoy his fishing trip.

How nice to have the lake basically to yourselves. I wish it was 80 here. With the high humidity it feels like 89.
