July was a great month for finishes. I think the biggest news was finishing my first garments in years. Both of these jackets are from the same pattern, Simplicity 9239. I made the feedsack version as a muslin but I will wear this one. The other one was made from some fabric gifted to me from my friend, Marcy. It’s going to be a great jacket for late Fall and early Spring.

I also got 6 veterans’ quilts quilted.

I also made 6 postcards, 9 fidget mats, a crochet shawl and a crochet blanket. Finally, I experimented a lot with gluten free sourdough bread. I had some failures but a couple of really good successes. I still have a lot of work to do to get edible crackers.

The best part of the month was Craft Camp with Ella. She’s 12 and loves making things. We made lots of things for hew new puppy and had a blast.
Here are my year to date stats:
Quilts – 3
Veterans quilts made – 6
Donation lap quilts – 3
Veterans quilts quilted – 25
Fabric Postcards – 20
Pet Beds – 3
Quilted for others – 1
Crochet blankets – 3
Crochet shawls – 4
Crochet/loom knit hats and scarves –
Placemats and Table Runners – 11
Potholders and tea towels – 22
Dyed shirts and towels – 16

We will be traveling the whole month of August so there won’t be many finishes. I expect I might have 2 crochet finishes but the big goal is to work on the Eclipse quilt. It’s all precut and ready to start as soon as I get set up in Maine.
