Yesterday I picked up Ella around 2:30 and, after grocery shopping, we headed to Hobby Lobby for supplies. When we got home, she jumped right in.

She’s getting a new puppy on Monday, so this craft camp is puppy themed. It’s a tiny dog, and she started with making bows. Lots of bows!

Next, we put together the top for her dog blanket. We got Minkie for the back, and we’ll quilt it today. I thought she would pick cute fabric, but she clearly has a more refined taste!

We ended the day working on bandanas. She made these for her new puppy and for 2 friends. I think they are adorable! She has a good eye for design, and she’s really good using the Cricut.

These are some of the results from my dyeing day. All of these fabrics were gifted to me, so I didn’t know the fiber content. The pieces on the left are heavy fabric like denim. They will be good for tote bags. The one in the middle was ice dyed and clearly has some polyester content, but it still looks nice. The 2 on the right are lighter fabrics, and both dyed lighter than I planned, but they still look fine and will find project homes eventually.

These are more ice dyeing results from the Dharma ice dyeing blends. The one on the left is dyed with some of all 3 colors: left, center and middle. The fabric on the left is on the donated fabrics and it didn’t dye very dark. It’s still a cool fabric. On the right are bandanas and the colors are more accurate there.
I love ice dyeing and the unique results that you get. I’m not convinced that the remixed powders are any better than the results that I get mixing my own. Either way, it was fun.
