Road2VA part 2

Road2VA part 2

I’ve got a few more quilt photos to share from the Road2VA quilt show. It was a real treat to have a nice quilt show right here in Virginia!

As I said Friday, this isn’t a judged show. Instead, it was a collection of special exhibits. I didn’t photograph all of them, but these are the ones I enjoyed the most

From QuiltCon, some my favorite modern quilts.

These are 2 of many spectacular quilts from a Sandy Curran retrospective.

These quilts are from an exhibit named Doors, Windows and Portals.

My second favorite exhibit was a group of spectacular nature quilts by 3 artists.

The last one I have to share is 10 year project called Eve’s Journey by Nadia Koraly. There’s a lot of information and much better photos on Nadia’s website.

It is a series of square quilts that tell a story of women through history from the Garden of Eden to 2040. There’s a stream of water that flows through.

It’s nice to have shows featuring some people we haven’t heard of. I’m glad someone takes the time to curate the special exhibits.
