Yesterday was a really busy day away from home. I picked up the sewing machines from the repair shop, took a gluten free sourdough class and med a friend for a drink. The class was over an hour longer than I expected. It was only $49 and lasted over 2.5 hours! It focused on using the sourdough discard and I got a few good recipes from it. I’ll be trying some crackers very soon.

I decided that my next project will be the linen jacket but I want to make a potentially-usable muslin first. Having just made the Oak Moth quilt , I still had feedsack fabrics on my mind and I think they would be a great weight for a light-weight summer jacket. I pulled out most of the feedsacks and put them into warm and cool sets. It will be a patchwork-style jacket and, right now, I’m leaning toward the cool fabrics. I don’t love pink but I can minimize it.

Next I cut apart the pattern pieces and started making adjustments. I know from my past garment-making life that I have to make a few basic adjustments on all patterns.
Today I’m delivering veterans quilts and, if I don’t melt on the way home, I might work on this some this evening.
