I haven’t even finished the Monty quilt and I’ve just finished the second quilt from the scraps! I finished Trailside in June and now Monty Scraps is done.

This quilt started with one leftover tree blocks from Monty (3rd row center), a pile of half square triangles and a few yards of my old Woodlands gradient.

I pulled out an old quilt pattern book and picked out patterns for 11 more blocks. I had lots of dark brown fabric for the frames, narrow sashing and binding.

I random cut the gradient for the sashing.  I’m so fussy about how I organize things that it almost hurt my soul to do it. Of course,  now I’m glad I did. I returned to my fussy self for the gradient border.

The pantograph is called Knotty and it’s super fast and easy. It was perfect for me with a cold. The thread is Magnifico and SoFine.

The back is hand dyed.

This one will be gifted but I’m not sure of the destination yet.

Hopefully Monty will be finished next week

It’s it amazing how many quilts can be made out of scraps from the original? The scraps are never ending! Patty
