The highlight of yesterday was giving a longarm lesson to my friends Charlotte and Magnolia.  They are in quilt club with me and Magnolia keeps an eye on my house when we go on vacation.  They can use the longarm while I’m away and keep the veterans quilts moving and quilt their own quilts.

We started with some simple stippling and the moved on to an east pantograph.  Next week they might be ready to start a quilt.

Before dinner I had an hour to spare and I got the binding on this veterans quilt. One more ready for delivery!

Today I’m back on painting duty.

I’m Vicki

I’m Vicki Welsh and I’ve been making things as long as I can remember. I used to be a garment maker but transitioned to quilts about 20 years ago. Currently I’m into fabric dyeing, quilting, Zentangle, fabric postcards, fused glass and mosaic. I document my adventures here.
