We got home Saturday afternoon after a blessedly uneventful 2-day trip. We almost witnessed an accident right in front of us in Connecticut but, thanks to a very alert dump truck driver, catastrophe was averted.

We listened to a Robert Crais book and I focused on my crochet. Here’s before and after of what I got done.

I haven’t unpacked any of my sewing. That’s on today’s agenda. Yesterday was football day so I worked on the plaid blanket.

I worked on the top brown/maroon row and last night I realized that I didn’t turn the rows with a chain stitch. Arrrggggh!

It’s not noticeable in the photo but I can notice it in real life. I’ll frog that section and restart it tonight during the game.

It’s good to be home!

one thing about road trips is the close calls that happen. Over our years of travel we have seen plenty of them. I thought the plaid blanket looked great – I don’t see a mistake but yes if it is all the way across you will want to redo

I am glad the accident was avoided. It seems that people drive more recklessly these days.

Glad you made it home safely! Too bad about the missed chain stitches but at least you caught it before you got TOO far.
