Yesterday was breezy but beautiful. We started the day on my favorite hike. It was too windy to kayak so I got in lots of sewing and crochet before our lobster dinner. It’s such a treat to have access to fresh lobster. I prefer the claw meat so Chris eats the tails and I eat the claws.
My day has gotten into a routine of crocheting on the blanket first, the sewing in the late afternoon and crocheting on the hats in the evening after Ian and I play cribbage. The hats are made with bulky yarn and a large hook so it’s easier to see in lamp light.
I’m making good progress on the blanket.
The orange looks more orange in this photo. It’s coming together faster than I expected and I really love this Premier Everyday DK yarn.

As I mentioned before, we hiked Pemetic Mountain yesterday. We took our usual route up the South Ridge Trail but came down the East Cliff Trail, a new one to us. This mountain is my favorite of all the trails in the park. It’s very challenging but has great views. Here’s the 360 view from the top.
It’s pouring rain today so there will be no hiking or kayaking today.
That’s OK, I have plenty to keep me busy.
