Fishes and sunset

Maine is notorious for inaccurate weather predictions. Yesterday was supposed to be rainy off and on all day. It did rain a little in the morning but the sun came out at noon and I took a walk downtown.

I met a little friend on the way.

Wilton is a tiny town that was founded around the GH Bass Company, maker of the famous Bass Weejun penny loafers. Here’s the original factory.

Manufacturing moved to Puerto Rico in 1998 but the building is still used by a restaurant and some offices.

You can see the dam in front from where the building originally was run on water power.

Here’s the pretty stream from the other end of the building.

This is most of downtown.

There’s one gift shop that’s only open Thursday – Saturday. I’ll visit it tomorrow.

The other photo is of the library.

It was a beautiful day for a walk. I came home and worked on the 4th set of fish. The background fabric is starting to gradate to purple.

The 5th set is ready to go today after a morning kayak.

The plan for today is kayaking, floating and sewing….a perfect day.
