First day of travel

We left Richmond around 7:30 yesterday morning and had a pretty easy drive to Fishkill, NY. It was a beautiful day and I got a lot of crochet done. Crochet is such a perfect travel craft. Everything I need fits in an eyeglasses case.

I got 1 hat made and then switched to the blanket.

I added 3 sections and, if my measurements are right, I have 4 left to go.  This will be done in no time.

During one of my breaks I  did some research and found a possible organization near us in Maine where I  might be able to donate the hats and this blanket. I think it would be cool to be able to leave them for the local community. It would also clear up a little space in the car for anything that I might purchase.

One more day of driving today and we’ll be in out little paradise.

    Yes, leaving stuff behind makes room for purchases. I always try to take a few things I can giveaway or trash after I use them on the trip. (Example: t-shirt that I still wear but really should discard.)

    I agree crochet is perfect for traveling instead of getting bored if you are traversing the same route each time!!
