Basting and cutting

Yesterday Mom and I had lunch with my cousin and did a little fabric shopping. In the afternoon I wasted a few hours on the internet before eventually getting busy.

I started by basting the next two quilts.

I’ll make a thread decision today and start quilting. I have another officer of Elections class today and I’m meeting up with a friend this evening so I don’t know how far I’ll really get with these.

While I was watching things on the internet I calculated everything I need to cut for the fish quilt.

The instructions are written for fat quarters but I’m using 1/8 yard strips so it has to be cut a little differently.

I figured it out and got started cutting after dinner.

I’m pretty close to being done with fish parts.

The background fabric has been ironed so I’ll get on with cutting it next.

My new blinds arrived yesterday so I’ll probably get on with trim painting the last room Friday.
