I started my day with pollbook training so I’m all ready to work the primary election on August 4. I had a few hours between the class and the time I was meeting my friend so I got busy on my 2 projects.
I started with finishing to cut out all of the fish parts.

I’m pretty sure I cut enough for the largest quilt plus some extras for placemats or a baby quilt. The pieces here are arranged in the fish order. It doesn’t look obvious but I have everything labeled so I won’t forget before I start sewing.
Next I got started on the next 2 veterans quilts. I had 2 thread choices. One is dark green and one is dark teal. You would think that the teal would be the obvious choice.

That’s what I thought until I spooled out some thread across the fabrics. The dark green was the winner.

After I quilted a few rows I came back upstairs to start cutting the background pieces for the fish quilt.

Today I’ll be mostly painting so I expect I won’t be done cutting out the Fish quilt and quilting the 2 veterans quilts until this weekend. But, I’m really excited about the Fish quilt. I think it’s going to look pretty cool.
