I’ve been really quiet the past few days because painting and cleaning just aren’t interesting. We are still awaiting the shower doors but they could be in by Friday.
Chris got the bathroom and bedroom painted and then I cleaned like mad to get everything ready for Ella’s arrival this afternoon. Next week, after the fun is over, we’ll resume painting the rest of the house. This fall we’ll replace the carpets and flooring and then we’ll be done with house projects.
The bedroom wall that’s visible in the photo used to have this quilt on it.

It’s called Fractured Fragments and I made it in 2015. It’s made from the leftovers of a king sized Fractured quilt. It’s purple and gold because it was made for a JMU fan. Fractured Fragments was made from the leftovers. I had the best time making and quilting this quilt. It’s now going to Ella’s Mom and Dad. They went to JMU and are still big school supporters. I hope they will enjoy having this on the sofa during football season.
I haven’t done any quilting on Eclipse. That will wait until the weekend. I did have some mental bandwidth to cut out some potholder kits. That’s something I could sew on while Ella is working on her projects.
We’ll see how the week goes. No matter what, I’ll be entertained!
