Almost ready to quilt

I actually got Eclipse loaded and basted last night and I tried to ignore that it wasn’t pressed well. By the time that I got to the end and saw that the quilt wasn’t straight, I knew I needed to start over. I ripped out the basting (easy) and pressed the quilt. It’s ready to be basted again today.

I did start pulling some threads to audition. The gray green will be the bobbin thread.

I also got 3 more blocks made for the Monty Scraps project

I won’t make much progress the next several days. I am dealing with an allergy issue that’s very uncomfortable but, more importantly, a contractor is starting work on our shower replacement.  It’s not straightforward because we’re removing a steam shower and replacing it with a regular shower. So there’s framing,  drywall, electrical and plumbing.  I don’t care about the mess or distraction. I’m just grateful that we found someone willing and available to do it.

In other words, I might miss a few days of posting.

I’m Vicki

I’m Vicki Welsh and I’ve been making things as long as I can remember. I used to be a garment maker but transitioned to quilts about 20 years ago. Currently I’m into fabric dyeing, quilting, Zentangle, fabric postcards, fused glass and mosaic. I document my adventures here.
