
It’s done! Yesterday I got the binding done and the label attached. I even made a zippered storage bag for it. I really love how the plaid binding worked out. I think it’s the perfect finishing touch.


Zane’s Mom picked the Bible verse for the label. Sewing that one was the last step. The bag is made from leftover backing fabric and I added the same icons that I used on the pillows. The bag is about 25″ square and holds the quilt folded into 8ths.



It’s quilted with a patriotic pantograph design using Superior Magnifico thread in a bronze color. In the middle photo you can see how the backing fabric matched the UNC shirt block.

When I deliver the quilt, I will also get to deliver the 12 pillows for his brothers and sisters.
I am over the moon with the way this project turned out and it was a joy to work on a memory quilt that wasn’t emotionally draining. I truly hope this is the last one.
