Yesterday was quite productive. In the morning, I went back to the show and met up with my blog friend, Kristen. We had met several years ago and it was great to catch up again. I’m going to do a separate post with more quilt photos from the show. I only made one purchase and it was this pattern by the same people that published the Oak Moth Quilt pattern. I think it will be fun in hand dyed scraps.
This post, though, is about my successful afternoon.

After lunch, I got started on the shirt jacket muslin. I’m doing a patchwork style using feedsack fabrics. It’s possible that this shirt will actually be wearable. If not it can be put in the fabric cabinet to be cut in to quilt pieces at a later date.
I shortened the body and sleeves but decided to not make any shoulder width adjustments yet. I’ll see how this fits and make other adjustments on the linen version.

I got all of the pieces cut out, and the interfacing is fused to the facing, cuffs, and collar. I cut side seam pockets from plain white so there won’t be any print to show through. Today, I’ll start sewing after I do a little yard work.
