A side project

I haven’t posted since Saturday because I’ve been stressing over hemming a dress for a friend. It’s been ages since I’ve worked with fussy fabrics so it took a lot of time.

I finished it yesterday afternoon and then met another friend for drinks. It was just the break that I needed.

Today I’m back to normal, starting with dyeing some quilt backs.

Sliding fabrics are a real pain to sew a hem on. I usually don’t use enough pins because I hate getting stuck.

It is always more nerve wracking to alter something that belongs to someone else and is fussy. Now back to your comfort zone! Patty

I avoid any thought of doing any sewing for friends so good for you for tackling it!
