Training day

That cold seems to have finally let go and impact to normal activity.  The highlight of yesterday was giving another longarm lesson.

She did great!

She’s so much more comfortable with the machine than I was at the beginning. But, also, I didn’t have a teacher and YouTube didn’t exist. She was here about 2 and a half hours and she quilted one veterans quilt start to finish.

This is a top that she made. I’ll get her on some of the other ones soon.

While she quilted I cut some backing fabrics to dye for veterans quilts.

And, I cut a bolt of very narrow (22″) batting that was donated. I’ll piece these for veterans quilts. I think there’s enough for 5 or 6 quilts.

I still don’t understand why batting was sold this.narrow.

My next chore in the sewing room is to hem a formal dress for a friend.
