Fish are underway

Our vacation has started off nicely. Chris has gotten in a lot of fishing.

We’ve had our first lobster dinner and I’ve gotten in some good kayaking time.

Also there’s sewing!

One thing I have to address here is lighting. I sew in the kitchen and there’s one overhead light. This year I brought along 2 work lights.  One sits on the table and one is magnetically stuck to the refrigerator behind me.

It’s just the right amount of light for me to sew. I recharge them between sewing sessions but they last several hours. Of course,  I found them on Amazon.

So far I’ve finished one, of seven, sets of fish. There are 8 in a set although this photo only shows 5.

I’ll have better photos tomorrow. Set 2 is underway.

With the rain today, I hope to get through set 3.

I’ve made some progress on the crochet blanket too but I forgot to take a photo.  I have 3 bands left to do.

The highest temperature so far has been 72. What a refreshing change from 98 at home.

The lobster dinner sounds lovely. And those temperatures, after this extreme heat, wow. Rechargeable lights are a wonderful thing. We have added a few at Mom’s to help in dark areas. I also put one in my hall closet so I don’t have to grab a flashlight to find things there.
    I love those fish.
