A little cutting

A little cutting

Yesterday I actually did a lot of cutting but only a little fabric cutting. I got out my mini chain saw to do some clearing along the edge of the road. I used up 2 batteries and still have more to do on another day.

Last summer the county ran high speed internet through the neighborhood. We have Starlink so have no intention of connecting to it. The company assigned to our area to provide the service has a horrendous customer service reputation so I’mnot inclinedtogive them business.  The installation was quite the disorganized event last summer when the main line went through. No one could answer any questions. Well, while I was clearing the area I found this cable that they dumped in our woods. It was far enough off the road that I know it was dumped intentionally.

Annoying.

It was hot and sweaty work but satisfying. It takes some effort to keep the jungle at bay.

After lots of snacks and relaxing, I finally got a little time in the sewing room and cut all the leaf parts for the feedsack flower blocks.

I just have the white background to cut next.

Today is quilt club and a friend is visiting this afternoon so I don’t know how much I’ll get done today.

Wow, that is a lot of cable!

The feedsack flower project is going to be marvelous.

You’d think someone would want all that cable for something – do you have a Freecyle in your area?

I’m really looking forward to seeing the flower quilt come together.

that is a lot of cable – why do people do things like that I can never understand. Our internet was horrible out here for years constantly loosing service. We have Starlink too and have only lost it a couple times in storms. That is a cute pattern.

In our area AT&T has been installing fiber cable. They are constantly in the way when going from my house to Mom’s. Quite honestly, the current company I am with has been great for years and I have no reason to change.

The white fabric cuts will not be nearly as enjoyable to see as the feedsack and leaf colors. I am loving those colors.

Why can’t people pick up after themselves, and then there are those that do it on purpose, we have had people dump stuff in our ditch-computers, tv, grills etc. either they don’t want to pay to take it to the dump or they don’t know they can do that.

That is going to be a pretty quilt with the variety of greens to go with the prints.
