A start

A start

Yesterday we had a meeting in the afternoon and we had our Airbnb family over for a cookout. This family has visited with us every year, except 2020, since 2011 while the attend the homeschooling convention. They have become my extended family.  Two were born since we met, one took her first step here, three have graduated and one is married.  I think we can’t move until after the 8 year old graduates. We had a fun evening sitting on the back porch catching up. Chris grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and I made cookies.

But I didn’t get a lot done. I only quilted a few rows on the veterans quilts.

I’m half done and should finish up today.

I started cutting some flower sets for the feedsack quilt. I need 20 sets in all. I don’t have 1 good fabric for the border so I’ll just make it scrappy too.

I also checked in on the baby Bluebirds.

Sometimes we need those “didn’t get a lot done” days. The cookies look good.

Yummy cookies! How fun that you have been friends with your airbnb folks for that long. The bluebirds are really growing! I would imagine that they should fledge soon.

What fun to have the same family come back year after year and watch the growth of their children. Those cookies certainly look yummy.
