Quilting Trailside

I’m on a mission to finish this quilt by Thursday. I’ve made it for the guest house, a building that’s rarely used. But, one of our favorite families is coming to visit Thursday and I want this quilt on the bed.

I got it loaded this weekend and will finish the quilting today.

I picked a pantograph called Woodgrain. It’s looking good in a medium brown thread.

We were happy to see a new clutch of baby Bluebirds this weekend.

And this butterfly was hanging out on my sheets on the clothesline. I like hanging my sheets out to dry for the fresh smell. In the summer I hang most of the laundry outsideto dry. It gives my dryer a rest.

By the time I got the camera out he had moved to the siding. It’s called a Silvery Checkerspot.

I wish I had a nice place outside to hang sheets and towels.

I am sure the wood grain panto will look lovely on that quilt. A deadline always helps me to finish something.

I have that Woodgrain panto too, and often use it on men’s quilts. Love those baby birds! Pretty butterfly too.

More baby mouths to feed – so cute!! I miss being able to hang the laundry outside. We do hang it in the bathroom on a second shower rod centered over the tub but it’s not the same.
