It was an unusually social weekend for me and, I admit, I enjoyed it. I wore a dress for the first time in years. We attended my college roommate’s son’s wedding. Cheryl got to invite 4 “friend” couples. Three of us went to college together and we had a great time catching up. I will say that it’s nice to be able to play “the old card” so you can leave whenever you want.
On Sunday Mom and I visited my brother. Not so much to see him but to see the grandkids and to play summer Craft Camp with Ella. I’m very excited that a 13 year old is even interested in spending time with me. We perused Pinterest and started coming up with a list of things she would like to make.
I made progress on a few things when I was at home.
I got the center of the green and brown quilt done. I finally found the original pattern and it’s called Trailside so that’s what I’ll be calling it from now on.

Next is a 2″ brown border and then a 5″ gradient border and it will be ready to quilt.
I got the blue scrappy quilt loaded on the longarm thinking it would be a fast one.

I picked a purple thread and was excited to get started. Then the thread broke twice in 12″.

I put the project in time out and left to work on something else. I’ll get back to it today.
Next I started working on some more postcards. I have a lot of May and June birthdays. Three just next week! Someone gave me these cats so I’m trying to figure out what to do with them.

There are 2 in each fabric the were cut wrong sides together, one left-facing and one right-facing. That’s my first project for today.
