I was back in the sewing room this weekend and my first project was getting the binding on this veterans quilt. I’ve made this pattern a couple of times and I will make it again. I cut the HST pieces with my GO Cutter so the sewing is fast.
I have 3 more veterans that need to be quilted and will probably pick up a few more Tuesday night at the quilt club meeting. The ladies stay busy making tops!
I also need to pick up a big quilt from Mom to quilt. She patiently waited for me to finish Zane’s Quilt but now it’s her turn.

Next I got back to the bear quilt and got the rows together. I have 2 borders to add and this one will be ready for quilting. I still need to dye a back but there’s no hurry. This quilt isn’t due until January.

Chris and I also hung some curtains. We live on 10 acres but can see this neighbors house. I don’t really like window treatments. I think they just collect dust. But the neighbor recently added a security light and it’s super bright. I’ve only ever had shades on the guest bedroom windows and that’s not sufficient anymore. Now both rooms have blackout curtains. They are super cheap ones from Amazon. I suppose I could have made curtains but I honestly would rather do clothing repairs that sew home dec. I chose function over form. The last time Mom stayed with us I taped a black plastic bag to the window. This is an upgrade!
I think I’m going to have to add a shade to my sewing room window for night time sewing.
Today is more bear sewing, loading 2 veterans quilts and, possibly, dropping off the taxes with the preparer.
